No, my name is not Ebenezer Scrooge. I am not the Grinch. I do not say "bah-humbug" when someone is talking about Christmas.

Now that we got that out of the way.

We all talk about a white Christmas. There are even songs about it. However, do we really want it? Sometimes we like the idea of something rather than the actual thing itself. I know I am being a tab cliche.

A white Christmas is nice to look at. It's pretty to watch the falling snow from your window, as you are curled up with a mug of hot chocolate and the lights from your Christmas tree your only light. Sound like a Norman Rockwell painting doesn't it? A blanket of white with pops of light from Christmas lights is a beautiful site to see. But that's just it, it's nice to watch and see from the comfort of a warm home.

Snow is absolutely beautiful don't get me wrong, but it is such a hassle. Christmas is stressful enough with getting the family out the door to go to church and Christmas dinner, snow just adds to it. Now you have to worry about road conditions, ruining your kids brand new Christmas outfits, and clearing the driveway and car.

A white Christmas is nice if it had snowed a few days before and it hasn't been warm enough to melt. Otherwise, I feel like it may just be more work than needed.

Am I being a bit of a Scrooge? What do you think?
