The Cape May Whale Watcher has advanced to the finals in the USA Today 10Best competition for best whale watching tour in the country.
The field has been whittled down to the top 20, who are competing for votes through Memorial Day, May 25th.
The competition is one of several categories that USA Today sponsors, spotlighting travel, food, and lifestyle businesses in America.
The Good News First
When I logged on to the voting site for this contest and placed my vote for the Cape May Whale Watcher -- you are allowed to vote once a day-- the page automatically took me to another page where the top 10 are listed.
At # 0 was the Cape May Whale Watcher! So, if the contest ended today, they would be a top 10 finisher.
Taking a closer look at the rest of the top 10, I noticed that Cape May Whale Watcher is one of only two tours set on the East Coast, along with one from Boston. The others are from Hawaii, Alaska, or California.
That's high praise for the water off the coast of South Jersey and for Cape May Whale Watcher.
