Two more Macy's stores in New Jersey will be closing this year as the chain continues its "Bold New Chapter" strategy.

Those two are among 14 locations across the country that will be shutting down over the next few months.

Changing With the Times

It was about two years ago when Macy's rolled out their vision for the future, which, at the time, called for about 150 "underproductive" stores to shut down over the coming years. Dozens of stores closed in 2025, and that trend appears to be continuing in the new year.

And while Macy's physical footprint continues to shrink, 125 of its best-performing stores are seeing a fresh, new look with improved merchandise and a better customer experience.
