Man Charged with Distribution of Drugs in a Lower Township School Zone

A man from Erma is facing charges after police stopped his vehicle and they ultimately found two pounds of marijuana inside a safe.

Lower Township Police say they stopped a vehicle being driven by John G. Bersani of Erma around 5:00 last Thursday evening near the intersection of Cox Lane and Seashore Road. Cops say subsequent to a warrant arrest of Bersani, a quantity of Marijuana was found along with a small scale typically used to weigh narcotics and a fireproof safe.

Following a search warrant being executed by police, they found over two pounds of marijuana, another scale, and narcotics packaging material inside the safe.

Bersani has been charged with Possession of Marijuana Over 50 grams (4th degree), Possession with Intent to Distribute (3rd degree), Possession with Intent to Distribute in a School Zone (3rd degree), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
