Man Fatally Falls from Toms River Parking Garage, Police Say

TOMS RIVER — The circumstances of a man's fatal fall from the Ocean County Parking Garage are unclear.

The 39-year-old man was found on the ground outside the four-story garage on Madison Avenue in Toms River around 8PM Thursday, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer, who added that the man suffered serious head trauma.

Billhimer said the circumstances of the fall remain under investigation and video of the incident is being reviewed to confirm if the man jumped. The man's identity was not disclosed by Billhimer.

The Toms River Police Department, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, and CSI from the Sheriff’s Department all responded to the incident.

The garage, located in the Ocean County government complex, will be open on Friday.
