A Margate woman will push her limits the summer when she joins a relay team with the goal of swimming the English Channel, according an article by The Press of Atlantic City.

Victoria Dolceamore of Margate will take to the waters and swim 21 miles to cross the English Channel on August 4th.

Dolceamore, 50, originally from Atlantic City, is the proud mom of three and is a '86 graduate of Mainland High. She's as local as they come! She'll be swimming with a relay team as they try to raise money for SwimTayla Global Charity, which stresses upon the life skills of swimming and how to keep safe in the water.

The fastest swim on record from England to France was 7 hours, while the slowest clocked in at over 27 hours, according to Channel Swimming Association. No matter how fast, it's sure to be a cold swim for the Margate mom as water temps in August will range anywhere from 59 to 65 degrees.

Here's the link to cheer on Victoria Dolceamore as she makes her big swim across the English Channel. Best of luck, Victoria!
