
Margate, NJ, Police Issue Lockdown After Threat to CVS Store
Margate Police issued a lockdown for the retail district surrounding Washington and Ventnor Avenues Wednesday afternoon after a threatening call was received concerning the CVS store.
Margate Police issued a release saying that police dispatch received a phone call at approximately 1:36 PM today. The caller made a threat concerning the CVS store, at 9301 Ventnor Avenue, and any responding officers to the scene.
The Margate City Police Department is treating this threat very seriously and have locked down the area while it is further investigated.
Several Margate Police officers, equipped with rifles, were seen canvassing the area of the store.
It is not known at this time if the police found anyone or anything related to the threat call.
