Middle Twp., NJ, Man Facing Drug Charges Following SWAT Team Raid
A Middle Township man is facing a list of charges after the Cape May County Regional SWAT Team knocked on his door.
Authorities say on Wednesday, several law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at the home of 36-year-old Robert Seney of Cape May Court House and he was arrested.
That arrest followed an investigation into Seney, who was allegedly distributing controlled dangerous substances.
According to officials, that search warrant yielded less than 1/2-ounce of methamphetamine, various types of drug paraphernalia, and 45ACP caliber ammunition.
Seney, who is being held in the Cape May County Correctional Facility, is facing the following charges:
- Third-degree possession with intent to distribute CDS
- Third-degree possession of CDS
- Fourth-degree possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia
- Fourth-degree certain person not to possess ammunition
- Third-degree distribution of CDS within a school zone
- Second-degree distribution of CDS within 500 feet of a public place
Those convicted of second-degree crimes in New Jersey face five to 10 years in state prison.
Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland urges the citizens of Cape May County to report any criminal activity by calling (609) 465-1135.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
