The first-ever live event in Mohegan Sun Arena was on October 21, 2001. It was an NBA preseason basketball match- up between the Boston Celtics and the Washington Wizards. Michael Jordan was on the floor as an NBA Wizard Player.

A few weeks later, Tim McGraw took the stage as the first-ever concert at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

In a one-on-one interview with Cantone following last night’s 14 millionth guest, Cantone took none of the credit and passed all of it along to his team.

”It’s all about the team and never about one person,” said Cantone. “All of the results that we have achieved over the years are only possible because of each team member doing their job at the highest level,” said Cantone.
