New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy Poised To Launch Senate Bid?

I just finished an interview with Nancy Solomon at WNYC NY Public Radio.

I want to be respectful and wait for our interview to air, before commenting on exactly what we talked about … except to say that it was a wide-ranging interview that covered the recent past Decision 2023 elections and the performance of the Republican and Democratic candidates.

We also discussed New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy.

Rumors are swirling that Tammy Murphy may announce her candidacy for the United States Senate for New Jersey … as early as tomorrow.

Although we come from different political parties, I can say without hesitation that if Tammy Murphy decides to run … she will be the prohibitive favorite to win the Democratic Nomination and the United States Senate seat for New Jersey.

It is inconceivable that Senator Robert Menendez will be able to hold on.

If Menendez stays in the race, he would likely have to endure the indignity of having to run off of the regular Democratic line.

The end result for the Senior Senator from New Jersey would be leaving with a humiliating loss at the hands of his own New Jersey Democratic voters.

In electoral politics, never underestimate the power of likeability. Governor Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy are incredibly likable, good people.

Despite very comfortable wealth, The Murphy’s are also very relatable and connect well with people across a wide range.

Should Tammy Murphy declare her candidacy for The United States Senate, she will instantly become the front-runner.
