In a study of the fittest and fattest states in America, New Jersey ranks near the top. That's a good thing. That means residents in the Garden State are more likely to be in shape than overweight.

QuoteWizard.com analyzed the body mass index of it's health insurance subscribers, as well as obesity data made available by Centers for Disease Control.

While West Virginia has the highest rate of obese adults, it wasn't ranked the fattest state. That unfortunate honor goes to Mississippi. Colorado has the lowest rate of obese adults, but still wasn't the fittest. That title goes to Hawaii.
