North Wildwood, N.J. — A Philadelphia man and a West Wildwood juvenile are facing charges after North Wildwood police say three people were beaten early Monday morning, with one victim knocked unconscious after being struck with a bottle.

Three Victims, Two Suspects Flee

The North Wildwood Police Department says its officers were called to 13th and Central Avenues around 1 AM Monday for a fight in progress.

Officers arrived to find three injured adults, all of whom were taken to Cooper University Hospital/Cape Regional for treatment. One victim had lost consciousness after being struck with a bottle.

The suspects involved had fled before police arrived.

Arrests Made the Same Day

Detectives from the North Wildwood Police Department, working alongside the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office, said they identified and arrested two suspects the same day.

20-year-old Alpacino Carrero of Philadelphia was charged with second-degree conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and second-degree aggravated assault. He was lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Facility pending court proceedings.

A 17-year-old juvenile male from West Wildwood was charged with the same two counts, plus third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was being held in a juvenile detention facility.

The following day, additional charges of first-degree robbery and another count of second-degree aggravated assault were filed against the juvenile.
