Pedestrian killed on Route 30 in Absecon, NJ
Authorities say a pedestrian was killed on Absecon Blvd. Friday night.
In a brief press release, the Absecon Police Department says the accident happened around 10:00 just east of the Delilah Road overpass.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Police did not release the identity of either person involved in the incident.

News of this fatal accident comes just hours after the Absecon Police Department targeted speeders and wreckless drivers on the same stretch of road. In a span of four hours Friday morning, 61 speeding citations were issued.
