Petulant Prosecutor‘s Petty Pout Over Atlantic County, NJ Politician
Within one hour of our breaking news coverage about Atlantic County, New Jersey Executive Dennis Levinson’s criticism of Prosecutor Will Reynolds — Reynolds responded with a public communication of his own.

Reynolds Strikes Back at Levinson
Reynolds’ press release begins with:
Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds is continuing to seek independent conflict counsel before the Superior Court of New Jersey, citing an actual and unwaivable conflict of interest involving Atlantic County Counsel and improper interference by County Executive Dennis Levinson in matters affecting prosecutorial independence.
Reynolds Wants To Hire An Independent Counsel To Represent Him
Reynolds is trying to make a case that he needs his own legal representation, because he is going up against multiple law firms who are representing the County of Atlantic.
Reynolds Started The Litigious Atmosphere
Reynolds did not handle the public humiliation that he suffered after his spectacular fail versus Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small.
In The Spirit of Christmas
Levinson gave Reynolds some very good free advice. He recommended that Reynolds should put the Marty Small defeat behind him and dismiss all of the outstanding criminal charges versus La’Quetta Small and Constance Days-Chapman.
Marty Small was fully exonerated by an Atlantic County jury a few days before Christmas, 2025.
There Have Been Many Atlantic County Prosecutors Prior To Will Reynolds
None of them petitioned to have their own legal counsel.
The taxpayers of Atlantic County are already paying for attorneys to represent their public interests. Why should the taxpayers have to pay for more lawyers because of a petulant prosecutor?
Reynolds Closing Argument
The Court has already entered two Consent Orders without prejudice authorizing the Prosecutor to retain independent labor counsel due to the ongoing conflict. Despite that acknowledgment, the County continues to oppose the request for full independent conflict counsel. The court also granted the prosecutors motion to amend the complaint to streamline the issues for the court, and to seek a conflict attorney to assist the Prosecutor in running the day-to-day operations of the Prosecutor's office, said Reynolds.
The Public Must Understand
You are paying for all of this madness, which is both unfair and unacceptable.
