The coronavirus pandemic has caused so many problems for the retail industry. Many stores will never open again after being temporarily shut down due to COVID-19

Pier 1 Imports is calling it quits after being in business for nearly 60 years, according to a report from the NY Post.

The home goods retailer, which first opened in 1962, got off to a rocky start in 2020 by filing for bankruptcy and closing 450 stores with four locations in New Jersey. Now, all 540 remaining Pier 1 stores will close their doors permanently, including locations in Somers Point, Millville, and Deptford.
