President Roosevelt Provided Troops With Bibles: Times Have Chang

This is a local issue, a state issue and a national issue all wrapped up into one. It’s a direct example as to how far we have fallen as a nation.

Over the past 80 years, we’ve witnessed one minor departure after another taking place. As a nation, we have purposefully veered away from our basic, core values and founding principles as a country.

This is the letter by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt, included in the pocket Bible. It reads:

To the armed forces:
As commander-in-chief I take pleasure in commending the reading of the Bible to all who serve in the armed forces of the United States. Throughout the centuries men of many diverse faiths and diverse origins have found in the Sacred Book words of wisdom, counsel, and inspiration. It is the fountain of strength and the highest aspiration of the human soul. -Franklin D. Roosevelt

Can you imagine the American President doing this today?

The “woke” mob would be filing charges on Constitutional grounds, saying it violates “church and state” laws, etc.

It’s really sad and we’re certainly not the better for it as a nation.
