
PA Man Killed on Route 47 in Vineland, NJ, New Year’s Eve Night
One person was killed and another was injured in a crash on Route 47 in Cumberland County just hours before the new year began.
The Vineland Police Department says that at about 9:15 PM on New Year's Eve, their officers were called to the area of Route 47 and Columbia Ave. for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
Police: Driver Makes U-Turn, Collision Occurs
According to authorities, 41-year-old Lance D. Warren of Drexel Hill, PA, was driving a Chrysler 300 southbound on Route 47 when he tried to make a U-turn in the area of Columbia Avenue. As he was making the turn, he was struck by a Chevrolet Camaro being driven by 33-year-old Donald S. Hunt, Jr., of Pittsgrove, that was traveling in the same direction.
Driver Pronounced Dead at Hospital
Warren was taken to Inspira Health in Vineland where he was pronounced dead. Hunt suffered a back injury and was taken to the same hospital for treatment.
Vineland Police Investigate Fatal Crash
No charges have been filed and the investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Vineland Police Department's Traffic Safety Unit at (856) 691-4111.
