The Coast Guard search for a missing kayaker on the Maurice River, off the coast of Cumberland County in Heislerville, is entering its second day.

The missing man's name and hometown have not been disclosed.

The Cape May County Herald reports that the Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay received notification from the Cumberland County Emergency Communications Center, reporting a missing kayaker at 5 pm Monday, Aug. 19.

The man was reportedly wearing a camouflage color life jacket at the time of launch.

The Coast Guard  search for the man has been assisted by  the New Jersey State Police,the Downe Township Rescue Squad, a Coast Guard helicopter aircrew from Air Station Atlantic City,  and the Coast Guard Cutter Crocodile from Station Cape May.

The New Jersey State Police discovered a yellow kayak matching the description of the missing man’s kayak earlier on Tuesday.
