No injuries is the best result of a huge fire in Little Egg Harbor Township Thursday afternoon.

Fire crews were called out to Wild Oaks Court in Little Egg Harbor just before 3PM for a massive blaze in the apartment complex. According to Little Egg Harbor Township Police, "When officers arrived on scene they encountered the fire and immediately began to evacuate residents and redirect traffic. Several fire departments from within the area also responded and helped extinguish the fire."

According to the Tuckerton Fire Department, their crew was first fire crew on the scene as the West Tuckerton Fire Company had responded to a rescue assignment just minutes before the fire call came in.

Several streets were closed to the area to allow emergency crews access to the fire. It reportedly took crews a little more than an hour to bring the fire under control. Firefighters and officials were on the scene for several hours.

A number of families have been displaced and the Red Cross is assisting as it can.

The Tuckerton Fire Department reports that Grapevine Restaurant donated dinner for firefighters after the fire.
