Teen Accidentally Shoots Hunter in Maurice River Township

A 16-year-old from Petersburg accidentally shot a hunter Thursday afternoon in Maurice River Township.

NJ.com reports the 54-year-old hunter from Millville was shot in the thigh with buckshot pellet. The accident happened in the Peaslee Wildlife Management Area.

The incident remains under investigation and a spokesperson for the DEP didn't know if the two knew each other.
