These 5 Atlantic City Board Members Have Relatives With School Jobs
If you have been wondering why, how could the Atlantic City Board of Education have not suspended La’Quetta Small from her duties as Superintendent of Public Schools … please consider the following:
A majority of the Atlantic City Board of Education have distinct conflicts of interest, with family members who have jobs within the Atlantic City Public Schools system.
This means that they are beholden to Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small and La’Quetta Small.
MARTY SMALL is criminally charged with:
- 2nd degree endangering the welfare of a child.
- 3rd degree aggravated assault
- 3rd degree terroristic threats
- disorderly persons simple assault.
LA'QUETTA SMALL is criminally charged with:
- 2nd degree endangering the welfare of a child.
- 3 separate counts of disorderly persons simple assault.
CONSTANCE DAYS-CHAPMAN is criminally charged with:
- second-degree Official Misconduct.
- third-degree Hindering Apprehension of
- Another.
- fourth-degree Obstruction of Justice.
- disorderly persons Failure to Report Child Abuse.
Days-Chapman, Principal of the Atlantic City High School was promptly suspending following criminal charges being filed by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
More than a month after La’Quetta Small was criminally charged … she has not been suspended.
Here are the 5 Atlantic City Board of Education members and their various conflicts of interest. Note, their conflicts all involve immediate family members.
- Board Member Mrs. Ruth Byard's daughter is Board approved as a substitute teacher and her granddaughter is employed as a social worker and;
- Board Member Ms. Patricia Bailey's son is employed by the Board as a custodian; and;
- Board Member Mr. Walter Johnson's spouse is employed by the Board as a teacher and;
- Board Member Mr. Shay Steele's spouse is employed by the Board as teacher;
- Board Member Mr. Kashawn McKinley's spouse is employed by the Board as a secretary.
Because of these various conflicts of interest, the Atlantic City Board of Education had to call for an emergency meeting last week to vote on what’s called the “Doctrine of Necessity.”
This allows those board members who are conflicted from voting on certain matters, to be able to legally do so.
It’s a gimmick and a public disgrace.
A majority of the board of education cannot vote on the annual school budget, or, other things like whether or not to suspend the superintendent, who stands criminally charged with serious child abuse charges.
Here is the documented proof, that what we are reporting here is incontrovertibly true.
The Atlantic City Board of Education has called for another emergency meeting, this Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to vote on whether or not to suspend La’Quetta Small.
The board has hired an expert lawyer to assist them. The expert has told them that they are required to suspend La’Quetta Small … until her criminal charges are resolved one way or the other.
Atlantic City Councilman George Tibbitt told us in an on-air interview that the “word around Atlantic City is that the board of education will vote NOT to suspend La’Quetta Small,” said Tibbitt.
If the Atlantic City Board of Education fails to act … the state of New Jersey will be required to take action … or, they will directly become a part of the political corruption.
