Three people were injured in a crash on the Black Horse Pike in Hamilton Township Tuesday morning.

Hamilton Township Police say around 8:00 Tuesday morning, a car being driven by 47-year-old Jorge Alvarado of Galloway was stopped on the eastbound side of the Black Horse Pike to turn into the Citgo station near the blueberry fields when a car being driven by 26-year-old Avery Walker of Williamstown struck the back of it. Following that crash, another car, being driven by 46-year-old Rochelle Lucas of Franklinville, struck Walker's car.

A press release says Walker was trapped inside of her vehicle and was extricated by fire cres and transported to the AtlantiCare Trauma Center in Atlantic City. Alvarado and Lucas were taken to ARMC-Mainland for treatment.

Walker was issued a summons for Careless Driving. Police continue their investigation.
