MIDDLETOWN — An overturned jitney bus on the Garden State Parkway slowed the end of Tuesday morning's commute.

The blue bus with "Tony Boloney's" painted on the side flipped on the northbound local lanes near Exit 114 for Red Hill Road in Middletown, according to New Jersey State Police spokesman Lawrence Peele.

Peele said the driver, who was the only person on board the bus, was hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the flip remains under investigation.

Two lanes were closed for clean up and investigation, which caused a multi-mile delay with rubbernecking in the express lanes.

The bus is registered to Tony Boloney's, an Atlantic City-based restaurant with a second location in Hoboken. The restaurant, known for its taco pizza, and has been featured on "Live with Kelly" and Conan O'Brien's show.
