Two people in South Jersey were struck and killed by vehicles over the weekend in separate accidents.

In the first accident, troopers with the New Jersey State Police say a 32-year-old woman from Philadelphia lost control of her vehicle and hit some trees along the Atlantic City Expressway in Winslow Township around 2:00 early Saturday morning. According to NJ.com, after the crash, the driver got out of the vehicle and was walking along the Expressway when an eastbound driver hit her. The woman was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver who hit the woman, identified as a man from Mays Landing, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Meanwhile in Salem County, cops there say a man was struck by three different vehicles as he attempted to cross Route 40 Saturday night. NJ.com reports 51-year-old Timothy Shipman of Pilesgrove was crossing the highway when he was hit by a Nissan, a Hyundai and Dodge pick-up truck in that order. The driver of the Nissan suffered minor injuries in the accident.
