2 Teens Charged With Attempted Murder in Winslow Township Shooting

Winslow Township, N.J. — Two teenagers are facing attempted murder charges in Camden County after investigators say they shot a 19-year-old man during a robbery last month, leaving him critically injured inside a car that crashed into a parked vehicle.

A 15-year-old and a 16-year-old, both from Sicklerville, were charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree tampering with evidence.

Shot During a Robbery

According to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, Winslow Township Police responded to Locust Court just before 10 PM on June 17th for a report of a shooting.

At the scene, officers found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound inside a car that had crashed into a parked vehicle. He was taken to Cooper University Hospital in critical but stable condition.

Investigators determined the two juveniles had shot the victim and robbed him of a watch and several other items during the incident.

Tracked Down by U.S. Marshals

The 16-year-old was taken into custody on July 17th in Winslow Township by the U.S. Marshals Service. The 15-year-old was arrested on July 20th in Pine Hill by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division.
