Their names are Jennifer Polcini and Melissa Flink and these two amazing women are currently running more than 250 miles from Washington D.C. to New York to raise awareness about Down Syndrome.

Their race began on Tuesday at 6:00 AM and will come to a close on March 21st, which is World Down Syndrome Day.

The two mothers are running in a team with 19 other runners and the race will be run in a "relay type" fashion with each individual completing approximately 30 miles each.

Both Flink and Polcini have sons that have Down Syndrome and have raised nearly $12,000 by running this race.
