The Ventnor City Beach Patrol is looking for lifeguards to keep beach-goers safe this summer. Here's how you can become a member of the Ventnor City Beach Patrol.

The Ventnor City Bech Patrol gives you the chance to train for your lifeguard test by going to the lifeguard Rookie School which runs through Friday, June 7th from 3:30 to 5:30 PM.

The rookie school is being held at the Beach Patrol headquarters at Suffolk Avenue and the beach.

The next test to become a Ventnor Lifeguard is Sunday, June 9 at 9 AM.

The test will be held at the Beach Patrol headquarters.

You can fill out an application and bring it to the headquarters or email it to vcbp@ventnorcity.org. Call 609-823-7948 with any questions.

The Ventnor City Beach Patrol lifeguard test includes a half-mile beach run, a quarter-mile box swim, and a quarter-mile surf boat row. Those who pass the test will be interviewed.

The junior lifeguard program runs for one week, Monday through Friday the first full week after the 4th of July each summer.

Children ages 7-13 are invited to come learn about beach and ocean safety, and lifeguarding skills and compete in competitions.  The fee is $10.00 for the week.
