Watch: Deadly Candy Factory Explosion in West Reading, PA, Caught on Video

A deadly explosion at a chocolate factory in West Reading, PA, was caught on camera.

A live weather camera from FOX 29, which watches over Route 422, showed the massive blast at the R.M. Palmer Company on South 2nd Avenue at about 5:00 Friday afternoon.

As of lunchtime Saturday, the station reported two people were killed, several were injured, one person was rescued from the rubble, and several people were still unaccounted for.

Authorities said the explosion leveled Building 2 of the facility and caused damage to Building 1. Investigators are still working to determine what caused the blast.

WFMZ-TV reports West Reading Mayor Samantha Kaag said of one of the buildings, "it's pretty leveled. The building in the front, with the church and the apartments, the explosion was so big that it moved that building four feet forward."

Authorities are investigating the possibility that a gas leak may have been responsible for the explosion, but no official cause has yet to be determined.
