
Philadelphia Man Guilty Of Assault & Drugs In Atlantic City, NJ
The Atlantic County, New Jersey Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania man has been sentenced on aggravated assault and drug charges.
Jamar Jones Was Sentenced By New Jersey Superior Court Judge Pam D’Arcy

On Monday, June 15, 2026, Jamar Jones, 37 years old, from of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 55 years in New Jersey State Prison … pursuant to the No Early Release Act.
Jones will have to serve 85% of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
Jones is guilty Of The Following

First-degree murder and 10 years with period of five-years of parole ineligibly for second-degree certain persons not to possess weapons consecutive to the murder conviction for a total of 60 N.J.S.P.
He was also sentenced for second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun for concurrent time, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Jones had Repeated Run-Ins With The Atlantic City Police

November 7, 2023, December 11, 2024, February 20, 2024, June 4, 2023, July 11, 2023, and November 19, 2023.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Also Confirmed The Following:
On November 7, 2023, officers of the Atlantic City Police Department responded to the area of 26 South Florida Avenue in Atlantic City, NJ and located the victim, L.R.R., who had been struck by gunfire. The autopsy confirmed that L.R.R. died by a gunshot wound, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

On June 15, 2026, the defendant pleaded guilty on all five matters and was sentenced to an aggregate of seven years subject to the No Early Release Act, which requires a parole ineligibility period of 85% concurrent to 10 years with a five-year parole ineligibility period, forfeiture of all money and property seized, including an electric bicycle, no contact with any victims and waiver of his right to appeal. Jones pleaded guilty to the petty disorderly persons offense of harassment, one count of third-degree possession of CDS, two counts of third-degree possession with the intent to distribute CDS (cocaine and fentanyl), two counts of second-degree aggravated assault of two victims, A.S and K.A., and second-degree certain persons not to possess weapons.
