Halloween 2020 is almost upon us. The spookiest time of the year will certainly have a different look and feel to it thanks to the ongoing concerns of COVID-19.

Woodbine has just announced their trick-or-treating and guidelines to keep all the little ghouls and goblins safe this Halloween.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, trick-or-treating will take place in Woodbine on October, 31st from 5 AM to 8 PM. Safety guidelines include practicing social distancing and wearing a mask along with your costume mask to make Halloween 2020 a safe and family friendly event.

Woodbine will also present a Trunk or Treat event which will take place form 5:30 to 6:30 PM on Halloween night. Cars will be lined up for trunk or treating to Woodbine residents along the bike path between Washington and Adams Avenue. You must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

The CDC is still recommending the following for a Happy and safe Halloween for 2020 for adults and kids:

  • Avoid contact with trick-or-treaters
  • Give candy outdoors if possible
  • Have individually bagged treats for little ghost and goblins to take
  • Wash your hands before giving out treat and wear a mask at all times
  • Wear a mask under your costume mask
  • Don't wear a costume mask over a cloth mask. Breathing may become more difficult
  • Children under 2 or anyone who has difficulty breathing should not wear a mask.
  • Practice Social distancing and bring a hand sanitizer with you.
  • Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds before eating any candy.
