Our dynamic team of listeners, readers, family members and friends gathered to compile a list of some of the best shrimp meals available in the Greater Atlantic City area.

The only obvious qualifier is that the dish must prominently include shrimp somewhere in it.

Marchel is also the owner of the successful Water Dog Smoke House in Ventnor, New Jersey … which is another fabulous Greater Atlantic City restaurant.

Chef Michael Dangelo has submitted a wonderful dish that is available at new Dim Sum restaurant located in Smithville shopping center, by JD's. It's called "Dim Sum and Then Some, in Galloway Township, New Jersey.

The meal featured below is Walnut Shrimp by Dim Sum Chef Michael Leung … who Dangelo describes as a chef with “incredible talent and has spent many decades in Atlantic city casino industry.”

Jeannie Medinger Tate couldn’t decide on just one dish … so, she submitted “Shrimp Franchaise from Chef Vola’s or Shrimp and Broccoli at Joe Italiano's Maplewood Inn and Oyster Creek Restaurant and Boat Bar fried shrimp. Ok, so I couldn't pick just 1!“

No photos were provided for the three menu items listed above, however, by description they appear to be great.

Katie Hurley Hanlin submitted “the stuffed shrimp at The Crab Trap. Three jumbo shrimp topped with a huge amount of crab imperial. One of our favorites!”

Jim Fraser and Commander Bill Butler also love this particular dish available at the Crab Trap, located Somers Point, New Jersey.

The photo below depicts 3 worlds of a shrimp feast. It’s comprised collection of (3) shrimp stuffed with deviled crab, 8 fried shrimp and (5) shrimp scampi over wild rice.

Barbara Coles Submitted Crabmeat stuffed Shrimp, from The Golden Pyramid on the Black Horse Pike, just west of Mays Landing, which she says is “Amazing in every way.”

The Golden Pyramid is a sleeper, which has made several of our seafood lists over the years.

Dorothy Higgins says … ”Fried Shrimp at Oyster Creek. Or the shrimp cocktail at Maxwell Shellfish. Check out their raw bar!!!”

Chef Vola’s makes our list with Gail Santa Maria Layton submitting the Shrimp Franchise “at Chef Vola is to die for!”

She well knows that you can’t get it anymore, with the closing of the legendary Angeloni’s II Restaurant and Lounge … after more than 45 years in Atlantic City.

Nonetheless, Marianna Tzioutziouklaris Gonzalez has submitted this wonderful, flashback memory … Angeloni’s Shrimp Scampi (see directly below):
