It’s “Back To The Future,” as an iconic restaurant has officially re-opened in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The new owners are Julie Aspell and her husband Ronald … who also own the legendary Tony’s Baltimore Grill in Atlantic City.

The new name is Angeloni’s Club Madrid.

This pays homage to both Alan Angeloni and the previous establishment, “Club Madrid” that also operated at the corner of Arctic and Georgia Avenues in Atlantic City decades ago.

Alan Angeloni owned and operated Angeloni’s II Restaurant and lounge for more than 42 years.

The Aspell's have done a great job ... as they have successfully threaded the needle to make two legendary establishments their own ... while continuing to honor exactly what has made them so popular for generations of loyal and faithful customers.

That’s just plain business smart.

Angeloni’s Club Madrid at the corner of Arctic & Georgia Ave is now open Thursday-Monday from 4pm - till.

Angeloni’s Club Madrid has released the following exciting news:

An aperitivo is more than a drink & a snack, it is a cultural ritual that started in Ancient Rome. It's a perfect way to unwind from the stress of everyday life & take the edge off before dinner. From 4-6PM Friday Saturday Sunday & Monday, every drink at Angeloni's Club Madrid will come with a complimentary (& delicious) snack. While it may not be in Rome, our aperitivo will still transport you.

Here is yet more exciting news:

Tommy Guidos “Martinis and Meatballs” have been so incredibly popular at Angeloni’s in the past.

Angeloni’s Club Madrid recently wrote the following about the original Club Madrid in Atlantic City:

Although prohibition officially ended in December of 1933, that didn't stop the Club Madrid from opening in August of 1933 at the cor of Georgia and Arctic Ave's. It changed hands many times in the first few years; the most notable owner was Frank Ferretti, the captain of detectives in the ACPD. In typical Atlantic City fashion, he gave ownership to a Mr. Kissel, but only for a week. The same week that all the Club Madrid bills were due! If that's not an Atlantic City story, nothing is.

Here’s an old advertisement and newspaper article from original Club Madrid:

Congratulations to The Aspell’s for getting this far.

This promises to be an exciting new era at Angeloni's Madrid Club.

The corner of Arctic and Georgia Avenues in Atlantic City have once again come back to life.

Bon appétit.
