Teaneck police are searching for an armed suspect who was seen on a surveillance video robbing a victim in broad daylight then fleeing the scene, unnoticed by anyone in the immediate area.

According to authorities, a male suspect approached a victim and a witness that were sitting in front of Emilio Barber Shop on Teaneck Road at about 5:51 p.m. Police said in a statement that the suspect "walked up to them, brandished a handgun, and demanded money."

Police say one of the men handed the suspect money and then one of the men turned over money to the actor, who fled on foot, heading north on Teaneck Road.

The victim and witness then flagged down a police officer who was on patrol in the area. Authorities say the armed suspect was last seen getting into a black Yoyota Camry on Fairlfield Avenue. The car might have had a New York registration, according to a police report.

A surveillance camera overlooking the area where the robbery occurred captured the incident. Police say the suspect "appears to be a black male in his 20s or 30s who is wearing a black sleeveless shirt, Yankees baseball cap, tight fitting blue jeans with holes on the front and black sneakers."

Police say the victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident.

Authorities are seeking the public's help in capturing the individual. They are asking people to watch the video and anyone with information about the suspect or incident to contact the Teaneck Police Department at 201-837-2600. Callers can submit anonymous tips by contacting the Teaneck Police Department Tri-Community Crime Stoppers at 201-488-4222. They will pay up to a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of an offender, police said.
