Atlantic City Boardwalk University Gets OK For Initial Funding
Stockton University got preliminary approval Tuesday from the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority for a proposed new campus in Atlantic City.
The final vote on the grant is set for January 19, 2016. According to NBC Philadelphia, Stockton president Harvey Kesselman considers this preliminary approval, "a very encouraging step," especially in expanding opportunities in the Atlantic City area.
The project would be located at the north end of Atlantic City from the former Atlantic Club Casino. It would house 500 students and include 9,000 square feet of retail space on Atlantic City Boardwalk and 7,500 square feet on Atlantic Avenue.
The project has a projected opening date for fall of 2018. Read more about the project here.
