
Atlantic City, NJ, Man Guilty Of Weapons & Drug Offenses
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that an Atlantic City, New Jersey man has pleaded guilty to weapons and narcotics offenses.

During my 35 years on-air, I cannot recall a time when the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has achieved more guilty pleas than they are at the present time.
Marcus Roberts Guilty Plea

On Thursday, June 25, 2026, Marcus Roberts, 52 years old, from from Atlantic City, New Jersey, pleaded guilty before New Jersey Superior Court judge Joseph Levin as follows:
- possession of controlled dangerous substances.
- possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances.
- unlawful possession of a weapon.The plea calls for a recommended sentence of five years in New Jersey State Prison.

There are two key dates:
May 15, 2025
On May 15, 2025, Atlantic City Police were dispatched to the area of 1300 Baltic Venue in reference to a fight. The fight involved two individuals, one of those being Marcus Roberts.
Roberts was in possession of a knife that he used to attack the other man involved in the fight. Roberts was searched upon being arrested and was found to be in possession of cocaine, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
October 29, 2025
On October 29, 2025, Atlantic City Police were on patrol in the area around 1500 Atlantic Avenue.
While conducting surveillance they saw Roberts conduct a hand-to-hand transaction with another individual. The officers stopped Roberts due to them witnessing the transaction and found fentanyl and cocaine on him, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Roberts is scheduled to be sentenced on September 18, 2026.
