An Atlantic City man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday night in the city.

According to a press release, emergency crews responded to the 100 north block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a parked vehicle around 8:15 Sunday night.

Arriving officers found the driver, identified as 38-year-old Juan Cruz-Ortiz of Atlantic City, had been ejected from his seat after his motorcycle struck an occupied parked vehicle. The vehicle and the motorcycle were fully engulfed in flames when police arrived.

Cruz-Ortiz, who had sustained multiple traumatic injuries, was transported to ARMC-City where he was pronounced dead just after 11:00.

An investigation into the crash is being conducted by the ACPD. Anyone who may have witnessed anything is asked to contact the Atlantic City Police Department Accident Investigations Section at (609) 347-5744.
