Atlantic City, NJ, Assault Suspect is Arrested with a Handgun
The Atlantic City, New Jersey Police Department has taken its last firearm off the street … with the arrest of a assault suspect, who was in the possession of a handgun.
This incident features great law enforcement work by the Atlantic City Police Department over more than a two week period.
It includes a foot pursuit that led to the capture and the arrest of the armed suspect.
The Atlantic City Police Department has released the following information about this incident:
On November 29, 2024, at 2:53 PM, patrol officers responded to the 1300 block of Baltic Avenue in reference to Devin Brown entering the home of a woman causing her to lock herself in the bathroom. Brown and the victim had been involved in a relationship. While inside the resi-dence, Brown destroyed the victim's belong-ings. Officers also learned that Brown assaulted the victim the day prior. Officers filed criminal charges against Brown for his actions, said the Atlantic City Police Department.
And, this is just the beginning, because on December 14, 2024, the Atlantic City Police Department closed the deal on this incident as follows:
On December 14, Officers Michael Regalbuto and Glen Robinson located Brown in the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue. Brown saw the officers and began to walk away before he began to run. The officers chased Brown until he attempted to board a New Jersey Transit bus. The officers began to wrestle with Brown before he was ultimately placed in custody. Officers located a loaded handgun in Brown's pocket,” said the Atlantic City Police Department.
This enabled the Atlantic City Police Department to arrest:
Devin Brown, 23, of Atlantic City, New Jersey.
CHARGES INCLUDE:
- Aggravated assault (three counts).
- terrorist threats.
- criminal mischief.
- unlawful possession of a weapon.
- obstruction of justice.
- resisting arrest.
