Hey guys, I'm Bill Spadea, host of our morning drive show on New Jersey 101.5. I'm also the host of Chasing News, which airs weeknights on Fox Television in New York and Philly. I've done a little bit of everything over my 20-plus year career, serving as a political strategist, analyst, candidate for office and business executive. Before getting into media, I served as an executive in the real estate industry for 18 years, coaching, recruiting and selling. I'm still a licensed broker in several states, including New Jersey, Washington and Massachusetts. As a candidate, I took on a three-term Democratic House incumbent in New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District. Highlights of the campaign included a 200-mile walk through all 44 towns in the district, knocking on 16,000-plus doors and beating expectations as the top Republican challenger in New Jersey in 2004. Our campaign ranked 17th out of 157 GOP challengers nationwide by earning 40 percent of the vote with more than 115,000 votes. Following the race I spent time as a surrogate speaker in New Jersey for Republican candidates for governor and U.S. Senate, and for Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s presidential campaign in 2008. In 1991, I graduated with a B.A. from Boston University and received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps Reserves after serving eight years. My wife, Jodi, and I live in Princeton with my son, Michael, who attends our local public high school. My daughter now lives in London as she enters her third year at the University of the Arts.
