‘Child Abuse’ Judge Rules Against Atlantic City, NJ Mayor & Wife

We have confirmed that New Jersey Superior Court Judge Bernard DeLury has rejected a motion to dismiss the (child abuse) criminal charges against Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small & his Schools Superintendent wife La’Quetta Small.

ATLANTIC COUNTY PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE STATEMENT

On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office previously released the following public information:

Marty Small, Sr., 50, and his wife, La Quetta Small, 47, of Atlantic City, NJ were both indicted for second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Marty Small, Sr. was also indicted for third-degree Terroristic Threats, and third-degree Aggravated Assault. It is alleged that during the months of December 2023 and January 2024, the defendants physically and emotionally abused their 15/16-year-old-daughter on multiple occasions. During one incident, on January 13, 2024, Marty Small, Sr. is alleged to have hit his daughter multiple times in the head with a broom causing her to lose consciousness, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Marty and La’Quetta Small previously attempted to have evidence suppressed and subpoenas quashed. Judge DeLury also rejected these motions.

Marty Small was separately indicted by a second Atlantic County grand jury for witness tampering charges.

CONFIDENTIAL STATE SOURCE SAYS

Earlier today, after Judge DeLury’s latest ruling, a confidential state level source shared the following  sobering and critical assessment about Marty Small:

“If they were innocent, they wouldn't have tried to dismiss or suppress evidence. Now that both have been denied, in the court of public opinion they will always be considered to be guilty.”

“That’s what Governor Phil Murphy was trying to try to tell him. If you aren't someone that has gotten a raise or scholarship from him, you have a negative opinion of Small You can't effectively do the job when most have a negative opinion and he's doing damage to this region.”

GOVERNOR PHIL MURPHY TRIED

Governor Murphy used a velvet approach to publicly suggest that Small should resign as Mayor of Atlantic City. That is something that Small would never do.

Small has twice before defeated the state of New Jersey at trial regarding previous criminal charges involving voter fraud allegations.

Can Marty Small do it for a third time?
