A man from Camden County has pleaded guilty to a stabbing in Atlantic City in the summer of 2021.

39-year-old Darren Petti was facing a second-degree aggravated assault charge and will likely be sentenced to three years behind bars.

On July 19th, 2021, in Atlantic City, police were dispatched to the area of Kentucky and Atlantic Avenues in reference to a man having been stabbed.

The suspect was described as a white male wearing a black and white flannel shirt and black pants, pushing a cart, walking on Atlantic towards Indiana Avenue.

Police found Petti, who matched that description, in the back of the bus terminal and he was taken into custody.

Authorities found a small black folding knife in his shorts when he was searched.

Petti was charged in connection to the stabbing and has remained incarcerated.

Sentencing is scheduled for August 10th.
