An operation that included local, municipal, and federal agencies resulted in the arrests of 16 people charged with trafficking drugs and guns in the Egg Harbor City and Pleasantville areas. The arrests also reportedly broke up a trafficking network that brought guns to the Atlantic Country area from southern states.

According to Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner, starting early Thursday morning, authorities arrested 16 people. Search warrants resulted in the recovery of "21 firearms, including handguns, rifles, shotguns, and automatic weapons. Also recovered were firearm ammunition, high capacity automatic weapon magazines, approximately 10 ounces of cocaine, and over 10,000 bags of heroin and fentanyl."

Kenneth J. Burrell, 39, of Egg Harbor City was identified as the leader of trafficking ring. he faces 16 different charges, including a first degree charge of being the leader of a narcotics trafficking network.

*Hiram Matos-Aviles 20 Philadelphia Avenue, Egg Harbor City, NJ

* Rodney Cline Jr. 34 Philadelphia Avenue, Egg Harbor City, NJ

* Tariek L. Mack 27 Federal Court, Galloway Twp., NJ

*Umar Salahuddin 25 Spruce Avenue, Egg Harbor City, NJ

*Catoby Collier 40 Philadelphia Avenue, Egg Harbor City, NJ

*Dawayne Fleming 40 Philadelphia Avenue, Egg Harbor City, NJ

*Isaiah Cooper 27 South Chester Avenue, Pleasantville, NJ

Tyner say Joshua Sims 18, of Augusta, Georgia, was taken into custody by federal authorities in Georgia.
