It's been nearly two months since Gov. Murphy ordered an indefinite shutdown of all Atlantic City casinos due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After a long stretch of silent slot machines and empty card tables, things will look very different once the casinos start to re-open their doors.

NJ.com reports that MGM Resorts has released their heath and safety plan that they'll follow once the governor gives the green light to open all casinos.

The plan includes wearing a mask unless you're drinking while gambling, no eating while on the casino floor, and no contact while you check into your rooms.

Employees will now be required to wear a mask at all times and must submit to daily temperature checks. Free masks will be made available to all guests.

Some other changes include hand sanitizing and hand washing stations, 6 foot social distancing practices, cleaning and disinfecting of all slot machines, tables and kiosks, plexiglass barriers, and a limit on how many people can share an elevator.

The plan must be approved by the union which represents over 10,000 workers, according to NJ.com.

Some Atlantic City casinos are now accepting hotel reservations from June 1st and beyond, according to a report from PhillyMag.com. There has been no definitive date yet from Gov. Murphy as to when the casinos can officially open their doors.
