Hurley: Welcome to Electoral Politics, Atlantic City-Style

Several prominent key Democrats have formally endorsed Republican Don Guardian over Frank M. Gilliam Jr. for Mayor of Atlantic City.

Here they are:

Atlantic County Freeholder Ernest Coursey, current City Council President Marty Small Sr., Reverend Collins A. Days, Sr., and Bishop R. Fulton Hargrove, II.

Coursey proved to be very disloyal to me; when he went from being my source to burning me on a solid story that I had thoroughly investigated and proven. However, his support in Atlantic City remains very strong.

It’s unprecedented for these four leaders to endorse a Republican.

Those who have counted out Don Guardian fail to grasp that there are some very unique coalitions coming together.

They passionately support Guardian in some cases. And, strongly oppose Gilliam in other cases. Either way, they benefit Guardian.

These are all substantial endorsements.
