Two men from Atlantic City are facing charges following a two-month-long investigation.

On September 1st, detectives with the Atlantic City Police Department's Special Investigations Section executed two residential search warrants following a two-month-long drug investigation.

The targets of the investigation, Breion Turner and James Turner, Jr., were each arrested at their residence for active warrants -- Breion on the 600 block of North Annapolis Avenue and James on the 4200 block of West End Avenue.

Authorities say the following items were seized:

  • One loaded handgun
  • Additional ammunition
  • 653 individual bags of heroin
  • 46 grams of ecstasy
  • 314 grams of cocaine
  • 59 grams of marijuana
  • 24 grams of methamphetamine
  • $2,751
  • Paraphernalia used in the distribution of narcotics

ARRESTED: Breion Turner, 33, of Atlantic City
CHARGES: Unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, possession of hollow-point ammunition, certain person not to possess a weapon, possession of CDS (three counts), possession of CDS with intent to distribute (four counts), possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone (four counts), possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone (four counts), possession of CDS paraphernalia, and money laundering


ARRESTED: James Turner Jr., 51, of Atlantic City
CHARGES: Possession of CDS (three counts), possession of CDS with intent to distribute (three counts), possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone (three counts), possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone (three counts), possession of CDS paraphernalia, and money laundering.

Both men were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
