On Tuesday, I went to the Atlantic City International Airport to book a flight to Charleston, SC, in September.

I am going on Breeze Air and went out to the airport to book my tickets in person, where I found significant savings on my flight. When Spirit Airlines was at ACY, I would routinely go out to the airport to book flights, saving a good amount on each flight.

How Booking in Person at the ACY Counter Saves You Money

Savings come from each low-cost carrier charging an online "Carrier Interface Charge" or "Technology Development Fee". By law, federal regulations allow airlines to waive this fee only if tickets are purchased at the physical ticket counter, giving you a savings on your flight.

Booking Breeze Airways in Person: What to Expect

Breeze Air only offers in-person bookings one day per week, Tuesdays from 11 am to 1 pm.  I got to the airport at about 10:45, and a line had already formed, with about 10 people deep.

I got in the line and filled out the form with my flight details.  Remember, on Breeze Air, you must have a Breeze Rewards account in advance.

I would estimate that I waited in the line for about an hour before I got to the front of the line.  The staff was friendly and helpful, and they made multiple announcements that they would be cutting bookings off at 1 p.m.

Each person takes about 10-15 minutes, so you need to make sure you are in line early, or risk not getting your booking.
