Kaufmann To Remain in Prison

Judge Bernard DeLury has ordered Dr. James Kauffman to remain in prison until the resolution of his upcoming trial.

$100,000 in cash was seized at his office during last week's raid.

The state revealed that Kauffman was ordered previously to provide his DNA sample. Kauffman went to Arizona and has not yet provided the sample.

An extensive and compromising video clip of Kauffman was played in the courtroom from the last week's raid.

Weapons were seized from multiple homes, his office and car.

He was considered likely to flee. Judge DeLury noted the amount of cash he had put aside in his office.

The Judge also noted the 1 hour police standoff and other factors in ordering that Kauffman will remain in jail.
