Margate Causeway Closed Overnight This Week

Another round of planned maintenance work on the Margate Causeway is scheduled to begin Monday night, November 12, from 10PM to 6AM and will continue through Thursday, November 16, weather permitting.

This is the second round of off-season overnight closures in two months for the privately-owned roadway which links Margate and Absecon Island to the mainland.

According to "Downbeach Express" owners Ole Hansen and Sons, you should seek alternate routes during the overnight construction periods but full bridge access will be available each day between 6 AM and 10 PM. There will be no interruption to boat traffic in the channel during construction.
