In an effort to relieve some of the stress that's piled onto our communities due to COVID-19, several volunteer fire companies in Middle Township have banded together for a food drive to help food banks in the area that are currently struggling for donations.

A spokesperson for the drive, John Menz of Middle Township, says all five fire houses (Cape May Court House, Swainton, Goshen, Green Creek and Rio Grande) will be participating. Donation collections will be underway between 10AM and 2PM Saturday, May 9th (rain date Sunday, May 10th).

If you're interested in making a donation, leave a bag of non-perishable food items at the end of your driveway to be collected.

Suggested donations include:

  • Cereal
  • Pasta
  • Spaghetti Sauce
  • Dry Milk
  • Peanut Butter & Jelly
  • Paper Products

For more information, reach out to your local Middle Township fire house.
