Millville Cops: Man Arrested After Pointing Loaded Gun at Three Officers
Cops in Millville say a 31-year-old man found himself in handcuffs after aiming a gun at three police officers.
According to NJ.com, the incident happened last Saturday when police pulled over Dante Hayes of Millville. Hayes exited his vehicle and allegedly aimed a gun at three Millville police officers.
Hayes tried to leave the scene after refusing to drop the gun and he was apprehended after being pursued by officers.
A 9mm Glock-semi automatic weapon was recovered by police after Hayes threw it into a nearby yard, according to published reports.
Hayes remains in custody at the Cumberland County jail after being charged with weapons offenses including assault, hindering apprehension, tampering with evidence, and possession of a weapon by someone previously convicted of homicide.
