Neglected Atlantic City, NJ, Roads Will Finally Be Repaired
It has been an absolute disgrace for years. The condition of many Atlantic City, New Jersey roads have been described as worse than the surface of the moon.
Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small has failed to deliver basic upkeep for many of Atlantic City roadways.
Thank You United States Congressman Jeff Van Drew
Congressman Van Drew, R-NJ-2, has directly helped to secure more than $ 10 million in federal funding for long overdue road repairs in Atlantic City.
This is Van Drew’s second recent big save for the citizens of Atlantic City.
Van Drew succeeded in having the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development takeover the Atlantic City Housing Authority.
Certain public housing residents have been living for years without heat, hot water and amidst rats and insects.
We will be visiting on-air this morning at 7:35 a.m. (WPG Talk Radio 95.5 FM & 1450 AM) with Matt Doherty, former Executive Director of the Atlantic City Housing Authority to discuss the latest developments.
Atlantic City Road Repair Announcement Will Take Place Soon
There Will be a formal announcement in the very near future about the road repairs.
The event is slated to take place in front of Dock’s Oyster House at 2405 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City.
That is very fitting, as Atlantic Avenue is one of the worst streets in Atlantic City in terms of roads in disrepair.
NOTE: One of my favorite photos of the poor road conditions (see below) is of a road in the Chelsea Heights section of Atlantic City. The potholes were so bad … that citizens actually stuffed a fully decorated Christmas Tree in one giant pothole. It even had a Santa Hat tree topper. (See below):
